Hardware
- What Kind of Hardware can be used? Vivaldi Metro can use Windows XP, Windows 7 or Windows 8 and can support 32 or 64 bit. Any computer that support these operating systems will work. We recommend at least 2 gig or Ram and at least 50 gig of Harddrive space available.
- Networking: To use multiple computers with Vivaldi Metro all you need to do is make sure that all the computers are connected to the internet. Speed and performance is very important so make sure to connect the computers to the DSL Router with a cable. Wireless will work but the printing of tickets will be slow. We recommend using cables and a fast internet connection.
- Printers: Vivaldi Metro supports the Star TSP 100 Thermal Ticket Printer and the SP 700 Star Impact Tag Printer
- Cashdrawer: Vivaldi Metro supports any automatic cashdrawer that plugs into the printer. We recommend plugging the cashdrawer into the TSP100 for consistently
- Barcodes: Vivaldi Metro supports any barcode reader. Wireless, Bluetooth or USB. The USB is the cheapest and easiest. We use barcode readers to assign locations, pickup tickets and inventory control. To test the reader simple print a ticket then open notepad and scan the ticket. If the barcode does not scan then the driver might not be installed so call the vendor
